<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s in Peach Mango Cold Brew Tea?</h2>

<p>Cold brew teas are blended specifically made for brewing with cold water rather than hot. Although you can use hot water and then simply add ice, they are crafted to give enough flavour even in cold or lukewarm water.</p>

<p>Teapigs has a whole range of cold brew blends, all <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/caffeine-free/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with caffeine free">caffeine free</a>. <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/cold-brewing/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cold brewing">Cold brewing</a> was first popular with green and black teas, and for a good reason. Fruit blends and many tisanes will usually release less flavour than green or black teas. <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/green-tea/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with green tea">Green tea</a> is usually the fastest to cold brew, while fruity ingredients will take the longest.</p>

<p>Peach Mango Cold Brew tea from Teapigs contains <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/white-hibiscus/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with white hibiscus">white hibiscus</a>, apple, sweet blackberry leaves, chicory root, citric acid, beetroot and natural peach and mango flavourings. Box contains 10 tea bags (or tea temples, as Teapigs calls them). It smells super intense, sweet, with fruity peach and mango notes.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-jpg.webp" alt="peach mango cold brew tea" class="wp-image-3887" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-tea-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make Peach and Mango Cold Brew tea?</h2>

<p>So how to make a proper cold brew tea? Even though the instructions suggest using up to 500 ml of water and steeping in cold water for only 7 minutes, this method may not offer enough flavour for all tea drinkers. As mentioned earlier, fruit blends are unlikely to brew into a strong cup of tea if you use cold water. This is true for specially crafted blends too. Therefore, this tea is better steeped in 200-400ml of warm water, and then topped with ice. This method too, will give a flavour lighter than regularly brewed tea, but it will be slightly more intense. Keep that in mind if you prefer stronger flavours.</p>

<p>Once brewed, the scent is all about peaches. Flavour is light though, so if you like lighter flavour, you&#8217;ll like this tea too. It has a light zesty note, a light mango note and a dominant peach note. It leaves a sweet fruity aftertaste. Peach Magno Cold Brew tea is very easy to drink and very easy to make. It doesn&#8217;t need any sweeteners, and adding some would only overpower the flavour.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-jpg.webp" alt="cold brew teapigs" class="wp-image-3888" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/peach-mango-cold-brew-teapigs-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>Who would like this tea? Tea drinkers that want a light refreshing summer drink with no calories. This blend is great is for adding more flavour to your water, especially in summer. It&#8217;s also a healthier drink than soda. You will like this blend if you like to drink flavoured water, and if you love peach and mango flavours. Individual packaging makes it great for takin on holidays too.</p>

<p>However, if you are expecting strong and flavoured blend similar to a properly brewed peach hot tea or peach iced teas, it may not be flavourful enough for you to truly enjoy it.</p>

How does it taste like?</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is Marrakesh Mint tea?</h2>

<p>Marrakesh Mint tea is a type of tea typically made with gunpowder tea, fresh spearmint leaves, and lots of sugar. It&#8217;s served in small cups and it&#8217;s strong and sweet. Typically, it&#8217;s simmered rather than brewed. The first infusion lasts only a few seconds and is discarded, both to wash the leaves and reduce bitterness. Marrakesh mint tea is usually made with spearmint, which has a sweeter and less minty flavour than peppermint. However, there are no rules when it comes to tea blends. They may include different green teas, and different types of mint, too. Tea blends are not pre-sweetened and blended to give a distinctive flavour without the need to add sugar. </p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-jpg.webp" alt="green tea with mint" class="wp-image-3616" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-with-mint-teapigs-tea-1-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s in Teapigs Marrakesh Mint tea?</h2>

<p>Teapigs mint blend contains Chinese chun mee (or zhen mei) green tea, which has a similar flavour to gunpowder, but slightly fresher and sharper, with a bit more smokiness. Just like gunpowder, it also brews into a strong tea with a darker colour. Gunpowder and chun mee green teas are two of the most commonly used teas for blending. They go well with a whole range of ingredients – from floral to fruity, chocolaty and spicy.</p>

<p>This tea contains 76% of chunmee tea and 24% of peppermint. It&#8217;s made with loose tea leaves rather than tea dust. What&#8217;s great about pyramid tea bags is that they will give exactly the same flavour as loose tea, plus they are easy brewing. Each tea pyramid bag contains 2.5 grams of tea, slightly over one heaped teaspoon.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-jpg.webp" alt="green tea with mint teabag" class="wp-image-3614" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-tea-mint-teapigs-1-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What does it taste like?</h2>

<p>Both gunpowder and chunmee tea will have a light bitterness when brewed over 3 minutes. Water temperature is extremely important too. You can brew this tea in 3 different ways, depending on your preferences:</p>

<ol class="wp-block-list" type="1">
<li>Brew it 1-2 minutes at 80 degrees Celsius if you want to drink it pure.</li>

<li>Cold brew it in the fridge – this tea is perfect for <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/cold-brewing/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cold brewing">cold brewing</a>.</li>

<li>Brew it for 3 minutes if you want to add lots of sugar or serve it iced.</li>
</ol>

<p>Neither green tea nor mint is overpowering in this blend. When brewed traditionally with hot water, peppermint is dominating the scent of brewed tea. Flavour is quite light, slightly lighter than it would be if you used fresh mint. It&#8217;s less sharp and more sweet than fresh mint too. There&#8217;s also a dose of astringency, which is common for chunmee teas.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-jpg.webp" alt="Marrakesh mint tea Teapigs" class="wp-image-3608" style="width:550px" width="550" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-jpg.webp 683w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-200x300.webp 200w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-450x675.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-225x337.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-20x30.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-mint-tea-teapigs-64x96.webp 64w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure></div>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>Mint is dominating the flavour as well, blended with smoky and mellow chunmee base notes. Because of a light astringency, Marrakesh mint tea leaves a strong sweet and refreshing minty aftertaste. If you don&#8217;t like astringent teas but want to avoid adding sugar, try cold brewing it instead. &nbsp;</p>

<p>This tea is a good choice for tea drinkers that enjoy mint teas, but don&#8217;t mind stronger green tea flavours with a light astringency. It&#8217;s a great after meal tea if you want something more than just mint, and great if you don&#8217;t like to add sugar to tea. However, it&#8217;s also great for making iced teas. When preparing it iced, steep it slightly longer and add a sweetener, sugar or honey.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-683x1024.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-3615" style="width:550px" width="550" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-683x1024.webp 683w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-200x300.webp 200w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-768x1152.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-450x675.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-225x338.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-900x1350.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-20x30.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-64x96.webp 64w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/marrakesh-mint-tea-pin-1-jpg.webp 1000w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure></div>

<p>Until recently, the only way to cold brew a tea was to use either loose leaf tea or regular tea bags and steep them for 3&#8217;8 hours in the fridge. Today, many brands are offering special cold brew blends designed to steep in less than 10 minutes – no boiling water required. Pink Grapefruit <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/teapigs/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Teapigs">Teapigs</a> cold brew tea is one of those blends. What does it taste like?</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What are Teapigs Cold Brew blends?</h2>

<p>Teapigs cold brew blends are blends for brewing in cold water. One pyramid tea bag is enough to make up to 500 ml of tea, depending on the desired strength. Unlike traditional tea bags, pyramid tea bags, or tea temples, contain loose leaf tea rather than tea dust. Teapigs cold brew range includes 6 different fruity summer flavours:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Pink Grapefruit</li>

<li>Lychee and Rose</li>

<li>Cucumber and Apple</li>

<li>Blackcurrant and Raspberry</li>

<li>Watermelon and Hibiscus</li>

<li>Peach and Mango</li>
</ul>

<p>All of them are <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/caffeine-free/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with caffeine free">caffeine free</a>.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s in Pink Grapefruit cold brew tea?</h2>

<p>Pink Grapefruit is not a typical flavour in tea blends. This citrus is very different from the typical zesty lemon, sweet orange or sweet and sour lime. With a slight bitterness, less sourness than lemons, and a beautiful pink-orange colour, it&#8217;s a great flavour for summer iced teas and cold brews. </p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-jpg.webp" alt="pink grapefruit teapigs tea temple" class="wp-image-3456" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-tea-temple-teapigs-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>Grapefruit Teapigs cold brew tea contains apple pieces, <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/white-hibiscus/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with white hibiscus">white hibiscus</a>, sweet blackberry leaves, red hibiscus, grapefruit peel, citric acid, and natural grapefruit and other natural flavourings. Each tea temple is individually wrapped to preserve freshness, but this also makes it great for travelling.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The best way to brew Teapigs Cold Brew Pink Grapefruit tea</h2>

<p>Teapigs tea bags contain loose ingredients, rather than dust. However, they will need more time to brew, even though the particles are smaller than regular loose tea.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-jpg.webp" alt="teapigs cold brew tea" class="wp-image-3452" width="512" height="768" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-jpg.webp 683w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-200x300.webp 200w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-450x675.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-225x337.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-20x30.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-64x96.webp 64w" sizes="(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px" /></figure></div>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>Recommended time for steeping this tea is 5+ minutes in cold water. When using cold water for brewing tea, always make sure you are using odourless fresh water, as cold brewed teas have a less intense scent than hot brewed teas. Using fresh will really make a difference.   </p>

<p>While the recommended steeping time is 5 minutes, this tea is best steeped slightly longer. If you want to intensify the flavour, you can also use a slightly hotter water and add ice, or cold-brew it overnight.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-jpg.webp" alt="pink grapefruit tea" class="wp-image-3453" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/pink-grapefruit-cold-brew-teapigs-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>It has a very light pink-orange colour and light pink grapefruit flavour with very light zestiness. Although it contains apples and hibiscus, they are not dominating the blend. It&#8217;s a quite light but refreshing tea, with light grapefruit flavour. It doesn&#8217;t need any sweeteners, as adding too much would overpower the flavour.</p>

<p>Who would like this tea? If you love light fruity flavours, or fruit infused water, you&#8217;ll like this tea too. It&#8217;s much lighter than a cup of traditional <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/fruit-tea/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with fruit tea">fruit tea</a>. This blend is great for a daily sipping as it doesn&#8217;t contain sugars or caffeine. You can use it instead of water or even soda.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

It&#8217;s available in many styles, from <a href="https://allthattea.com/how-to-make-chai-7-different-ways/">concentrates and powders to tea bags and loose leaves</a> and you can also make it from a scratch. And it can be blended in hundreds of ways. <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/teapigs/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Teapigs">Teapigs</a> Chai tea or masala dream is a chai you&#8217;ve likely seen before.</p>

<p>What does it taste like?</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s in Teapigs Chai Tea?</h2>

<p>Teapigs Chai Tea is a chai tea that&#8217;s widely available from supermarkets and online. It comes as loose tea and as loose tea in pyramid tea bags, or temples, as Teapigs call them.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-jpg.webp" alt="Teapigs chai tea" class="wp-image-3162" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabags-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>Loose tea in pyramid tea bags is the same type of tea you&#8217;d use with a teapot or an infuser. It&#8217;s different from classic tea bags that contain fannings and dust, and pyramid tea bags allow enough space for leaves to fully expand.</p>

<p>So, what&#8217;s in this chai?</p>

<p>Most chai teas are blended with strong Assam tea, as it offers a perfect rich base for adding milk. Teapigs Chai tea is made with Assam black tea too, but in a <a href="https://allthattea.com/tag/ctc/" class="st_tag internal_tag " rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with CTC">CTC</a> style. It also contains pieces of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, vanilla and natural flavourings. Cinnamon and vanilla are the main scents in this blend, which is not as common in a regular, heavily spiced <a href="https://allthattea.com/homemade-masala-chai-recipe/">masala tea</a>.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-jpg.webp" alt="CTC chai with spices" class="wp-image-3161" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-jpg.webp 1024w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-300x200.webp 300w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-768x512.webp 768w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-450x300.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-225x150.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-900x600.webp 900w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-20x13.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/teapigs-chai-teabag-144x96.webp 144w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What are CTC teas?</h2>

<p>CTC Assam black tea is a brilliant choice for chai teas. CTC or crush-tear-curl teas have small leaves that look like tiny pellets. This style is common in India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and even Vietnam. This style is used only for black tea. CTC teas usually give a stronger infusion than whole leaf which makes them perfect for making milk teas. And that includes chai too.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What does it taste like?</h2>

<p>Tea bags are usually intended for regular brewing; however, you can simmer them too. Simmering is a great way to extract more flavour and improve the texture of chai tea. It&#8217;s a wonderful method if you plan to add a sweetener. If not, simmered tea may become too bitter, so regular brewing is a better option.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-jpg.webp" alt="Teapigs chai tea" class="wp-image-3158" width="500" srcset="https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-jpg.webp 683w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-200x300.webp 200w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-450x675.webp 450w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-225x337.webp 225w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-20x30.webp 20w, https://allthattea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/chai-tea-teapigs-64x96.webp 64w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure></div>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p>To make a cup of Teapigs chai tea, use 150 water per one tea bag. Steep for 5 minutes at 100 degrees Celsius and add a splash of milk. If you want to simmer it, use 2 tea bags per cup of water and 1/2 cup of milk and simmer for 10-15 minutes.</p>

<p>Teapigs Chai is blended with whole spices which will <a href="https://allthattea.com/making-chai-you-will-love/">naturally release less flavour when steeped then simmered</a>. This tea is stronger on cinnamon and vanilla than other chai teas and perhaps a slightly lighter on the spices.</p>

<p>However, it&#8217;s great for tea drinkers that want a gentler and still slightly spiced blend. It has no bitterness and smells beautiful. This tea goes very well with milk, but because of its lightness, a splash will often be enough, depending on how you brew it.</p>

<p>If you love heavily spiced strong chai blends, Teapigs chai tea may be too light for you. But if you love sweet cinnamon teas that are light enough to be enjoyed with no condiments, you&#8217;ll very likely love this tea too.</p>

<p>Extra idea – if you want to release more flavour from cardamom and other ingredients, gentle crush the tea bag using a pestle and mortar. Be careful not to break it – crush only the spices.</p>
